A woman had a stroke found to be caused by a cavernoma of the left middle cerebellar peduncle. This subsequently underwent resection. One year later, she has chronic vertigo and a constant somewhat disjunctive nystagmus.

The following images illustrate her oculomotor testing. They are typical of a person with a severe cerebellar deficit.

Horizontal saccades exhibit overshoot dysmetria.

There is a severe disturbance of horizontal pursuit.

Vertical saccades are generally unaffected by saccadic dysmetria.
